Since Vada has grown in height and become even more mobile than she was prior to her hear surgery we have had to move some of our pieces of furniture around to make things a bit safer for her curious little self. The coffee tables have a sliding drawers and V would always grab onto the handle when pulling herself up to a standing position. When she would do this with the small end table she could sometimes pull it over on herself. Luckily, I have always been close enough to catch the table before it caused any damage. Sometimes, V would open the drawers to grab something that was inside of it and with one hand in, she would actually close it on herself. Typically, I am pretty close by her but when I am cooking or using the "facilities", it became the perfect opportunity for her to get hurt.
When the locks on the drawers no longer became an obstacle for V (about a day after putting them on) we ended up turning the drawers away from the living room but eventually she learned that they were on the other side and once that happened we moved the smaller one away from the living room and faced the larger tables drawer towards the couch and then pushed the couch into the table drawer. Every so often, when I have cleaned under the couch and have forgotten to push the couch all of the way into the table she ends up noticing right away. In most cases she gets herself stuck... Look for yourselves....

That is too funny! I love that Miss V is so curious - she's doing such a great job pulling herself up! Josie prefers to err on the side of caution and stay close to the ground.
That reminds me so much of Arina. Soon I will have a full blown walker and im terrified about that!
