Straight to the Mouth

I heard this joke once. About this student and his teacher. The teacher was trying to teach the child how to use hand eye coordination. The child was struggling and the teacher said something along the line of; "If you can touch your finger to your nose three times in a row, I will buy you an ice cream cone." Of course the child wants the ice cream so he practices and practices. Finally the child achieves the goal and the teacher keeps her end of the bargin, only to have the child miss his mouth and ended up smashing the ice cream onto his forehead.

I'm sure I botched the joke, but I think you get the picture. It was a cute joke, something that probably did happen to many children in some way or another. Every time I watch Vada study at her hand and then attempt to do something with it, I think of that joke. Especially when she does something like stick her finger up my nose!

A Trip to Trinity

Something happened earlier in the week that had me concerned about Vada. I had been keeping an eye on her behavior and noticed several things that seemed "off". So I took her to visit her primary. I'll be the first to admit, when it comes to my children I worry, maybe too much, but lets face I know my children better than anyone.I think most mother's do. Vada's primary sent us to get a sonogram of her liver. He was concerned that there might be something wrong with it, but also stated it could just be bruised.

Turns out that not only was her liver fine and she did very well having the sonogram done. Not that she ever has had a problem with them. She should be deemed a pro by now, shes had more done than most adults will ever have. I'm pretty for sure that she did so well partly because she had her big sister enteraining her. Jasmine is so incredibly good with Vada. I am so proud of the sister she is.
