My Mom

Vada and I headed back to Wisconsin this Friday morning but before reaching camp we took a detour and stopped by my biological mothers house. This was her first time meeting Vada and my first time seeing her for well over two, maybe even three years. It had been so long since we last seen each other and our history is not something many people would be comfortable reading about let alone me mentioning. I didn't know what to expect and truthfully I was pretty nervous. However, I was pleasantly surprised by our whole visit. Our time together was nice and it felt good to be able to catch up on things. We had some good conversations, she seems healthy and happy. Most importantly, Vada really took to her, which was nice. I'm glad that Vada and I took the small detour even if it were short and only to say "hi".
