How To Make "Gak" or "Slime"

Borax

Elmer's Glue (white or clear)

Food Coloring

Two bowls

A wired whisk

1-1/2 Cups of water

In one of your bowls add 1Cup of water with 1Teaspoon of Borax, whisk mixture until the borax has dissolved. In the second bowl add the remaining amount of water with 1 Cup of Elmer's glue (If you want to make it look like slime use the clear glue, it could be "dolled up" with the clear glitter glue as well.) and mix. After the water and glue have been mixed together then add your food coloring in and mix well before adding the Borax mixture. After everything has been dissolved add the two bowls together and mix with your hands. There will be an immediate reaction leaving only about a half of a cup of water behind. Take out the goop and dispose of the water. Place the goop into a Rubbermaid bowl or even a sandwich bag, it'll last for quite sometime and will be great for sensory play with your child/children.
